Yup it's too early for a Christmas celebration. But, I am in the mood of sharing my excitement about the upcoming festive season even we’re still 90 days away before December 25. It’s not that I have lots of money to spend (how I wish) or I have lots of party to attend but because I will be reunited with my lovely wife and my two beautiful kids. These past few months have never been easy I have to be separated with my family to wait for my petition papers. It is both expensive and stressful; there is a time that I had to file a 3 day leave, fly with my son stay and be with them just for 3 days and go back. That is not the first time I have to leave them, work here and wait for my papers so I could finally be with them. But, homesick and sadness always floods me during these scenarios.
Few more days and we will be reunited! Anticipating the upcoming season and spending it with them creates mixed feelings and the joy overwhelms me. I am also excited that I will have the chance to celebrate my daughter’s first birthday 5 days following Christmas. Everything is taking into place after several days of sacrifice living without them, miscommunications and other problems. On the other hand I’ll be leaving my work soon, my co-workers turned friends and my relatives here. I guess I can’t really have the best of both worlds.

Did you felt the earthquake today. Friday, Sept 18, 2009 at around 2:30pm. Well, I did and my office mate also did. At first I thought I was just dizzy or my computer table just moved. I ask more friends but they said they didn't. I got curious if there was really an earthquake? with the help of my friends they gave me this website. According to the website an earthquake occurred around 02:23:58 PM at epicenter with the depth of 50.1 km (31.1 miles) with a distance of 115km (75 miles) southwest of Calapan, Mindoro 145km (90 miles) SSW of Batangas, 230 km (145 miles) SSW here in Manila and 250 km (155miles) South of Olongapo.

The USGS traced the epicenter of the earthquake, which occurred at 2:23 p.m., to Mindoro in the southwestern part of Luzon.
The epicenter was traced 118 kilometers from Calapan in Mindoro, 145 kilometers from Batangas, and 234 kilometers from Manila.
